Deviant and Hateful Behavior in Street Children. The topic of this paper is deviant and hateful behavior in street children. Deviant behavior consists of activities, which bring disapproval from members of society (Roux and Smith, 1998), and street children are generally and publicly perceived as being deviant. This is because about a fifth of them are probably involved in antisocial activities, due in turn to attitudes and beliefs attuned towards criminality. Studies show that the high probability and visibility of criminal and delinquent activities among these children tend to antagonize those where these activities are performed, and on which police authorities impose punishment.
