An Analysis of Descartes, Locke, Reid, and Berkeley This paper will discuss how knowledge can never truly be explained outside of human perception, and will be elucidated by the speculatory writings of Descartes, Reid, Locke, and Berkeley that seek to claim some sort of explanation for this impossible knowledge. By understanding how the process of knowledge is gathered by some of these expositions on perception, we can surely see how the senses are highly susceptible to doubtful arrangements of knowledge because they are so easily influenced by illusion.
